Located in Knox County, Ohio, this facility is owned by a major oil company and has been providing retail sales of gasoline, diesel and kerosene to the public since 1966. A release was issued by BUSTR following the discovery of elevated concentrations of gasoline related chemicals of concern (COCs) during underground storage tank (UST) system closure activities. Following the BUSTR Tier process, BJAAM completed assessment activities through the completion of a Tier 3 Evaluation. Tier 3 Evaluation activities included: confirmatory soil sampling, calibration of the groundwater fate and transport model, the derivation of site-specific target levels (SSTLs) using BUSTR SSTL calculation spreadsheets and the completion of a 95% Upper Confidence Limit (UCL) statistical analysis to address remnant concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) in soil. BUSTR issued the site No Further Action (NFA) status on March 24, 2016.
