BJAAM’s Environmental Professionals possess the expertise to jump start and forward a community’s Brownfield redevelopment initiatives using available state, federal and private funding programs. Since before the real estate market crash in October of 2008, competitive Brownfield grants have been made available through state and federal bi-partisan supported redevelopment initiatives. Communities throughout the nation are now vying for new and existing businesses to call their community home. Concurrently, communities are facing the challenge of finding available, environmentally uninhibited real estate to support new industry. Brownfield redevelopment is a function of the local real estate market, and risk and uncertainty are major factors in an investor’s decision-making process, particularly when environmental contamination is present or perceived.

At the heart of any grant writing project is the future and vision of your community. We create one-of-a-kind applications for communities in which we work, rather than selling grant writing commodities to multiple communities who are competing for the same scarce funds. BJAAM professionals have proven success in writing state and federally funded Brownfield grant applications including US EPA Brownfield Grants, Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA) grants and loans, and Abandoned Gas Station grants. We have spearheaded numerous negotiations between business leaders, environmental agencies, community and economic development organizations and other bodies of government to create cost effective initiatives for Brownfield redevelopment.

BJAAM’s grant writing expertise has brought clientele millions of dollars in combined state and federal grant funding for environmental assessments, remediation and redevelopment planning. Our grant consulting and combined environmental assessment and remediation work has helped transform thousands of acres of former industrial and commercial real estate into viable redevelopment opportunities.
