BJAAM Environmental, Inc. has expanded its environmental expertise with the recent opening of the Pennsylvania Office. Facilitated by the establishment of satellite offices located in the Ohio Valley and Pennsylvania, BJAAM has been able to increase its geographical footprint of services throughout these neighboring states. Located in Beaver, the Pennsylvania Office is home to the Director of Pennsylvania and West Virginia Operations, Darren Waddell and Staff Scientist, Dustin Barnes.
With over 12 years of experience, Mr. Waddell’s diverse knowledge within the environmental consulting industry provides a solid foundation for the growth of BJAAM’s expertise and capabilities in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He possesses a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Management from Dusquesne University. Mr. Waddell is a Certified Licensed Remediation Specialist through the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, has extensive professional training in Pennsylvania’s Act 2/Land Recycling, Fate & Transport, and Vapor Intrusion, as well as American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) training in Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
Staff Scientist Dustin Barnes contributes to the team by offering both field experience and report writing capabilities to BJAAM’s Pennsylvania and West Virginia Operations. With a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Pittsburgh, he is skilled in technical sampling, drilling and monitoring well installation, Underground Storage Tank (UST) system closures, remediation, reporting, and permitting procedures. Mr. Barnes is able to work side-by-side with Director Waddell to accomplish any task set forth by a client and offer the highest quality environmental expertise to the Tri-State Region.
The Pennsylvania Office’s technical expertise provides clients with an extensive range of environmental proficiencies including UST compliance, remediation, and closure services, air emission and water discharge permitting, coal mining/natural gas permitting and investigation services, fate and transport modeling, risk assessments, Phase I & II ESAs, Brownfield redevelopment, and compliance auditing services under applicable state and federal regulatory programs.
